Notice Regarding the Introduction of the Accommodation Tax in Matsumoto City
Thank you very much for your continued and valued patronage.
Nagano Prefecture and Matsumoto City will introduce an accommodation tax for stays from Monday, 1 June 2026.
Accordingly, our hotel will also collect an accommodation tax separately from the rates shown in your reservation, based on the applicable accommodation charge.
Accommodation Charges
(Room charge per person per night; room only)
– Accommodation charges of less than JPY 6,600 (tax included): Not subject to taxation
– Accommodation charges of JPY 6,600 or more (tax included): JPY 200 per night (JPY 100 for Nagano Prefecture and JPY 100 for Matsumoto City)
(For the first three years following the introduction of the system in 2026, the tax will be JPY 200; thereafter, it will be JPY 300.)
The accommodation charges subject to taxation do not include any fees other than the accommodation charge, such as breakfast charges or parking fees.
Please note that the accommodation tax is not included in the plan or room rate and will therefore be collected separately at the hotel at the time of check-in.
