Candy fair in Matsumoto (Jan 11th, 12th)

Have you ever heard about あめ市 Ame Ichi in Matsumoto? If you visit Matsumoto these days, you can see the banners of Ame Ichi on the streets. This is a winter event and this year it will be held on January 11th and 12th.

There will be a  “national candy fair”, where you can see a variety of famous and rare candies and sweets from all over Japan. You may receive some complimentary candies from the shops. Let that be one of sweet things which will come to you in this year.

On Sunday 12th from 10:30 to 15:30 there is a parade around the Matsumoto centre. You may have chance to see the taiko (Japanese drum) performance as well.
